Meet The Doctor

Dr. Heather Triggs, O.D.

Dr. Heather Triggs is proud to bring her passion for eye care to the Topeka and Shawnee County community.

Originally from Nortonville, Kansas, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Emporia State University and her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.

During optometry school, Dr. Triggs gained hands-on experience treating a wide range of eye conditions through her work with the Cherokee Nation, as well as volunteer service with SVOSH and the Bedlam Clinic.

She enjoys all aspects of primary eye care, from routine eye exams and contact lens fittings to diagnosing and managing ocular disease and urgent eye conditions.

Dr. Triggs has a special interest in dry eye treatment and fitting scleral contact lenses. Her goal is to ensure every patient feels heard, cared for, and confident in their vision.

Outside the office, Dr. Triggs enjoys staying active at the gym, working on DIY home projects, planning her next beach trip, and spending time with her husband, Tanner, and their Yorkie, Penny.

Dr. Triggs is a proud member of both the Kansas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
